About Power4All

Making Power Electronics Simple, Practical & Free

Power4All is a free education platform for power electronics and electrical engineering. We bring together clear tutorials, interactive engineering calculators, virtual laboratories and real-time simulators so that anyone — from a first-year student to a working design engineer — can learn how real circuits behave and build the confidence to design them.

Our mission

Power electronics is the backbone of modern life — it charges every phone, drives every electric vehicle, runs every solar inverter and powers every data centre — yet it is often taught in a way that feels abstract and inaccessible. Our mission is to close that gap. We believe that when learners can see a converter's waveforms, calculate real component values, and experiment in a safe virtual lab, the subject stops being intimidating and starts being intuitive. Everything on Power4All is free to use, works on any device, and is written to be genuinely understood, not just memorised.

What we offer

In-depth tutorials

Detailed guides on components, circuits and power-electronic converters — from diodes and transistors to rectifiers, choppers and inverters.

100+ calculators

Interactive engineering calculators for converter design, component sizing, unit conversion, filters, batteries, motors and much more.

Virtual labs & simulators

Physics-accurate, real-time simulations of rectifiers, choppers, inverters and DC-DC converters — experiment with firing angle, duty cycle and load and watch the waveforms respond.

Converter library

A growing library covering AC-DC, DC-DC, DC-AC and AC-AC topologies, each with theory, waveforms and worked design examples.

Community

A community of students, educators, hobbyists and professionals learning power electronics together and sharing knowledge.

Engineering consultancy

Practical, production-minded engineering support — from concept and simulation to prototype and delivery — for projects, startups and institutions.

Who Power4All is for

  • Students preparing for exams or projects who need concepts explained clearly, with tools to check their work.
  • Educators looking for interactive simulations and worked examples to use in the classroom.
  • Hobbyists and makers designing power supplies, LED drivers, battery chargers and DIY electronics.
  • Practising engineers who want fast, reliable calculators and a quick refresher on any topology.

Our approach

Two principles guide everything we build. First, accuracy: our simulators integrate the real circuit equations and are checked against closed-form theory, so what you see matches what a real bench would show. Second, clarity: every tool is paired with a plain-English explanation, a worked example and answers to the questions learners actually ask. We would rather teach one idea properly than list a hundred formulas without context.

Behind Power4All

Power4All is created and maintained by Vinay Singh and the Chargisthan team, based in Jodhpur, Rajasthan, India. Chargisthan is an engineering group focused on power electronics, embedded control, battery and EV systems, and product development — and Power4All is our effort to share that expertise openly with learners everywhere. We are continually adding new tutorials, calculators and simulators, and we welcome your feedback on what to build next.
